There
are composite award programs, where a guide is needed to take a
visitor or an applicant through the AP and help him choose the
most appropriate segment (where submitted sites stand a real
chance for an award)
In
case of a simple AP, a guide is an integral part of
Introduction. However, I personally don’t believe in that.
Actually, there are some seemingly simple award programs,
actually being quite complex and complicated. In my opinion, a
well intentioned AP guide should be an indispensable part of
each serious AP.
Possible
Guide elements are to:
| 1. |
show
a visitor(an applicant) in your AP, and help him easily
locate desired AP segments. |
| 2. |
introduce
a visitor to the AP area, and steer them into all
possible directions and their destination. |
| 3. |
transform
Purpose solemnity into friendship/friendly language. In
that manner your AP becomes both familiar and respected. |
| 4. |
offer
various suggestions/information about your AP nature,
and nominated awards, of course according to the nature
of submitted sites. |
In
that sense, the Guide is an essential tool, both for you and a
visitor. In case you proved your serious approach under the
Purpose section, plus friendly spirit under this section, your
applicants would certainly realize your AP all-friendly
attitude, genuine need for your AP existence on the net, as well
as objective and competent evaluation of their sites.
